Wushu Competition Training Program
De Shang Wushu Training Base maintains high teaching standards, yet beginners are welcome. The rapid progress observed among students, even in short periods, is due to the intensive training conditions similar to those of provincial teams. With nine hours of training per day, professional coaches, and top-tier equipment, students have an environment optimized for exceeding their goals.
Wushu Training Focus
Each training session follows a structured schedule, ensuring all fundamental techniques are covered within a week. Key focus areas include:
- Footwork and kicks
- Punching techniques
- Core strength and muscle conditioning
- Cardio and speed training
- Hand and weapon forms (Taolu)
- Acrobatics and flexibility drills
The training facility covers 900m², with 600m² dedicated to training mats. The instructors are highly reputed in China, though they do not speak English. However, they use translation apps to assist communication with foreign students. Monday mornings are usually a rest period for all students. If additional rest days are needed, students must inform the instructors in advance.
Dormitories
Students are accommodated in a hotel located a 15-minute walk from the center. Options include single or double rooms. Other accommodations closer to the center exist, but they are not suitable for foreigners due to administrative restrictions.
Catering
Meals are included in the fee and served three times daily at the hotel. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated upon request.

Deshang Fees and Duration of Stay
Price includes :
- 3 daily hight level Wushu Competition training classes
- Accommodation and 3 meals a day
Price does not include :
- Airport transfer from Chengdu Tianfu to Deshang (~600 CNY)
- Complete training outfit, including shoes
- Membership with Goku Panda (331 CNY), our nonprofit partner organization, supports participants with administrative procedures and facilitates communication with the center’s staff. Depending on the duration of your stay, processing fees apply: 828 CNY for stays under 30 days and 1243 CNY over 30 days. By choosing Goku Panda to assist with your kung fu journey in China, you are supporting a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting kung fu worldwide.
Stay duration and VISA
Deshang Wushu training base is not a school, so they are not (yet) authorized to give long-term visas (type X2). You can go there without a visa for a period of less than 30 days if you are part of the eligible countries. If this is not the case, you can make a basic tourist visa (1 month). Most foreign students attend for periods ranging from one week to three months in intensive sessions.
