Welcome to the Wudangshan kung fu school

A legendary place to learn and grow

Nestled high in the mystical Wudang Mountains, the school is located in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage nature reserve covering over 400 km². Here, you'll discover a place steeped in history and spirituality, the cradle of Taoist internal martial arts. The kung fu styles practiced at Wudang are distinguished by their quest for harmony between body and mind, inspired by the principles of suppleness and fluidity inherent in Taoist philosophy.

And what about the setting? The Wudang Mountains are home to an impressive array of architectural treasures: 72 temples nestled in the vegetation, 9 monasteries, 36 convents and 9 palaces, all testimonies to a fascinating past. It's in the heart of this cultural wealth that the school welcomes you, close to the inspiring nature that will accompany you every day of your training.

The kung-fu school itself is fairly recent, regularly renovated to offer students a comfortable learning environment. Divided into three separate buildings (primary, junior high and high school), it functions as a veritable campus where over 450 young Chinese live year-round in sport-study mode. A total immersion in the martial and academic world, where everyone finds their place, from the first apprenticeships to the most demanding training sessions.

Recognized and diversified Kung Fu training courses

The Wudangshan kung fu school offers official kung fu training recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Sport. Among its ranks are masters from the Wudang tradition, as well as experienced Shaolin kung fu teachers. This wealth of pedagogy enables you to explore the emblematic styles of Chinese martial history, from the elegance and spirituality of Wudang to the power and rigor of Shaolin.

Whatever your level or desires, you'll be guided towards the practice best suited to your body type, personality and objectives.

Teaching tailored to your level and interests

The school welcomes everyone, from curious beginners to seasoned practitioners. Chinese students train intensively throughout the year, at a rigorous pace that can be daunting. That's why Wudang offers a special class dedicated to novice practitioners, whether Chinese or foreign. Take advantage of tailored teaching, detailed explanations and personalized support, without having to keep up with the fast pace of the locals.

However, if you are in good physical condition and have a solid grounding in the martial arts, it is possible to join the intermediate or advanced Chinese classes at your request. You'll have two extra training sessions, one before breakfast and one after dinner. It's an intense, immersive experience, where you'll train from morning to night in the pure martial arts tradition.
